I’m trying to create a web app that involves sharing of user-generated content, but one of the goals is that the service host operator should be blind to the content. Only authorized users should be able to see the content shared with them. This implies the content must be encrypted at rest, and users must hold custody of their private signing key.

How would this change society for the better?

I have a lemur pro from sys76. That thing is very lightweight and has quite a bit of flex in the middle of the keyboard. It runs very well but i try to be very careful with it, to avoid scratches.

Here’s the thing. The optometrist I went to retired and sold his practice to this big company. Basically, they’ve hired a brand new OD. He’s part time, and he’s only been there 3 months. It’s literally not his fault the staff and company are toxic, but under my state professional regulation boards, the company itself doesn’t have a license. I’d have to file the complaint against the OD. I don’t feel great about that. I feel like making a mark against this OD does nothing to the company.

I can just barely read standard musical notation but it’s far from fluent. I’m wondering if, with enough practice you can look at sheet music that you have never heard or seen before and sound it out in your head before ever touching your instrument?

Like you could have a felon convicted of child rape sign up to fight a forest fire and die. Would he be a hero? Since ours in the US is generally a percentage of the bill, people in expensive restaurants can make more. Do they work harder? Do they have fewer tables so less checks are tipping? 20% tips on 5 hundred dollar tables is $100 every 60-90 minutes, but shifts are usually only a few hours. So maybe $3-400 for a 4-5 hour dinner shift? In a diner you’d are probably half that per table but for more tables and faster turnover. What’s a good wage?

I (23M) grew up in an extremely abusive household. My older brother learned to imitate the violence and lack of remorse my father modeled, while I hid in my room for most of my childhood and slowly deprogrammed until I learned to trust safe people and assert my needs and boundaries. Now that I know what safe people are like, I also know what they absolutely fucking aren’t.
