The original is now in the public domain in most countries, but I think Barrie did a really good deed with it, because over the years, a not inconsiderable amount of money must have been raised. In the UK, the copyright still seems to apply due to an exemption.

Unfortunately, this is only possible to a limited extent today, as billionaires are now feeding their LLMs with copyright-protected material for profit and not paying a dollar for it. So today, the hospital would have had only a fraction of the revenue at its disposal.

Thanks for pointing that out, I didn’t know that. Well, the US president is also a pedo and not only does he not donate anything, but together with his billionaire friends, he ensures that those in need are made even worse off. Not that that excuses anything, but on a scale of despicability, these people seem to me to be even higher up.
